It was announced on Friday that the Toffees had agreed naming rights for their new ground with Hill Dickinson, a legal firm in Liverpool. Social media reacted to the unexpected news.

Social media users were bemused, with @kaapie20 saying: "Absolutely awful. I’m in the legal world and I cannot see that HD would be able to compete on any level with Qatar Airways and like. What are the numbers? Astonished."

@xstex wrote: "Nobody is calling it that."

@austinrathe agreed, posting: "Is this a joke?"

Another user, @xAlexTHFC said: "Might be the worst stadium name in the world"

Everton will move into their new ground at the beginning of next season. They are set to play their last ever men's match at Goodison Park against Southampton on Sunday, before the women's team moves in next season.
